Namibia in the NewsA 69-year-old man appeared in the Outapi Magistrate's Court at the end of last week on charges of raping two young girls, the Police reported in their crime bulletin.
Aipinge Petrus Angula allegedly raped a six- and a nine-year-old at Oipandahangano village in the Ombalantu area some time ago. The allegations were only reported to the Police last Tuesday. * Three nurses were seriously injured when a minibus ambulance overturned on the Ruacana-Werda gravel road on July 4. Sister Ripuree Muhenje (42), Sister Gases (44) and Sister Kapolo (46) were admitted to the Oshakati State Hospital. The nurses are stationed at the Opuwo State Hospital. Four other passengers were slightly injured. Both rear tyres of the vehicle burst, resulting in a loss of control. Shot for breaking pool table A 22-year-old man, Johannes Junias, was shot and wounded in the right thigh at the Kuisebmund Open Market on Wednesday. Likius Heita (28) was arrested for firing two warning shots to prevent Junias from fleeing after he allegedly broke a pay pool table with the intention of stealing the money locked inside. Junias was admitted to the local State hospital. Heita was arrested and charged with attempted murder. * A 30-year-old man was found dead with stab wounds to the head and neck at Oshetu in the Nau-Aib suburb of Okahandja on July 3. His next of kin have been informed, but the Police are yet to make any arrests.
