|  | Troubled star Courtney Love is reported to have wandered the streets, scrounged cigarettes off strangers and claimed she was being followed, before being admitted to hospital.
According to the Daily Mirror, Courtney, who faces separate charges of assault and prescription drug offences in Beverley Hills and New York, told a friend: “They're spying on me they’re spying on me.”
Love, who is the widow of rock legend Kurt Cobain, was taken to New York’s Bellevue Hospital in handcuffs on Friday (July 9) after phoning an ambulance on her 40th birthday.
The star also claimed that she had an abortion the same day, but it is rumoured she may have had a miscarriage.
Courtney’s lawyer, Michael Rosenstein said that his client was “conscious and stable”.
He added: “It is not a suicide attempt, not drug overdose related. It’s a gynaecological medical condition for which she is receiving treatment.”
Love’s neighbour Tony Nelucci, 81, found her roaming the streets said: “She was begging for smokes.”
