The U.S. Supreme Court made the correct ruling Tuesday when it blocked the enforcement of the Child Online Protection Act, a law signed by former President Bill Clinton in 1998. We agree wholeheartedly with Congress that young children, even adolescents, need to be protected from the dark side of the Internet. There is plenty of material online which is inappropriate for young people. But the COPA law, as currently written, simply will not work.
