PostNukeRUNDU - Businessman Alexander Kalunda Mwenyo at Divundu village in the Kavango Region was robbed of N$40 000 early on Saturday morning.

The Police reported at the weekend that the thieves cut through the roof of Mwenyo's house and stole cash from a gambling machine.

Mwenyo, who was asleep in the house at the time, was not harmed.

No arrest has been made.

Rundu woman dies in fire RUNDU - A woman identified as Anastasia Ndjamba Karumbu burnt to death in a hut at the Kehemu informal settlement on Friday night.

The cause of the fire is not yet known.

Police investigations continue.

Roads claim two more lives WINDHOEK - Road accidents have claimed the lives of two more people in the North.

The Police report that Pohamba Elia Ndume (73) died on Wednesday afternoon when his 4x4 bakkie left the road and overturned on the Onandjamba-Omungwelume gravel road.

Two passengers were slightly injured.

Also on Wednesday, David Mwahekange died when his bakkie left the road and overturned on the Grootfontein-Otavi main road.

He was alone in the vehicle.

Two school children injured OSHAKATI - Police at Oshakati are investigating a case of reckless or negligent driving after an oncoming vehicle hit two school children on the Oshakati-Okatana main road on Thursday.

* David Mwahekange (56) died when a car he was driving overturned along the Grootfontein-Otavi road, while Pohamba Elia Ndume (73) was killed when his vehicle was involved in an accident along the Onandjamba-Omungwelume road.
